5th Grade Students Learning Success Skills!
Our 5th graders are putting their collaboration and critical thinking skills to the test through the Junior Achievement (JA) program! Students are playing an interactive game designed to help them learn about success skills, teamwork, decision-making, all while having fun.
It’s always exciting to see students so engaged in learning real-world skills that will serve them for years to come! 💡👏

🇺🇸 Thank you to the Elliot-Keninger American Legion Post 252 of Ackley! 🇺🇸
Our AGWSR 5th graders had a meaningful experience learning about the American flag. The students were complemented for being an outstanding audience and great listeners throughout the presentation.
We’re so grateful to the American Legion Auxiliary of Ackley for sharing their knowledge, pride, and respect for our nation’s symbol. Appreciate the time that Deb Swanson, Till Woodley, Earl Akers, and Larry Wright took today to present to the our students! ❤️🤍💙

Our 8th graders are leading a fun and meaningful competition to support the Ackley Food Pantry! This is a wonderful opportunity for our students and families to come together and give back to our community. Every item donated helps make a difference—let’s see which cougar time group can collect the most!

We are in need of volunteers for our Mentoring Program at the Ackley Elementary. This program pairs up elementary students with a positive role model who comes in weekly to meet with the student they are assigned to. During that time they establish a relationship with them, teach them a new game or skill, help support them with school work, be a champion for them, and learn from them. Our need for mentoring is increasing as we continue to support students socially, emotionally and academically. If you are interested in this rewarding opportunity, contact Molly Forgy at
mforgy@agwsr.org or 641-847-2611.
