The AGWSR Elementary Battle of the Books teams took on teams across Iowa via a Central Rivers AEA organized online event. While not battling, the team partied it up at the Ackley Public Library! To top it off... lunch at Pizza Ranch! Fun day had by all! The AGWSR School Library Program organizes and coaches the building team(s). *Thank you to GNB of Ackley and two private donors for helping us pack our book shelves. *Thank you to participants' families and a private snack donor for supporting our day. *Thank you to the Ackley Public Library for opening their doors to us.

📏⭕️7th graders discovered pi today! They measured the circumference and diameter of various circular objects. After dividing these two numbers, we looked at our class average and realized our numbers were about 3.14 (the approximation of pi!) ⭕️📏

The AGWSR Academic Decathlon team had a great weekend! And these awesome students didn’t even have school on Friday so they used their vacation day to attend an Academic competition!!👏🏻 The 2024 AGWSR State team 💜3 Honor Participants Eleanor, Preston and Ava 🩶2 Scholastic Participants Catelynn and Ella 💙2 Varsity Participants Jade and Quinton We finished 4th out of 9 in the small school division and 15th out of 24 overall including medium and large schools AND brought home 8 individual medals!! 💙Jade Varsity Division Gold Interview. 8th graders wanted to show their appreciation to our wonderful substitutes by making care packages for them. Substitutes will receive one of these packages each day they sub here! Thanks to our incredible subs!

Great job to AGWSR Band and Vocal performers at the Annual Pops Concert!

These three ladies performed at Individual District Speech today! They all did great!! Elizabeth - II rating in Acting Ava - I rating in Solo Musical Theatre Catelynn - I rating in Poetry Ava and Catelynn will perform at State Individual Speech in Hampton on Saturday, March 9!

The High School Band and Choir is presenting their annual Pop's Concert Monday Feb. 26 at 7pm in the HS gym. The groups will be performing pieces from Disney, including Arabian Nights, How Far I'll Go, and many others.. We hope to see you Monday night for a great show.
