Thank you to the Cougar Booster club for purchasing all-weather runways for the track team. These runways will be utilized on the long jump approach, working hurdles and block starts, and when we are indoors for workouts.

We want to extend our gratitude to Cougar Impact, our middle school parent organization, for their support of our students and staff. Their generosity makes a significant difference in our school community. Whether it's planning and providing a back-to-school meal, running concessions with the help of a large number of volunteers, funding field trips, or supporting the Cougar Way, Cougar Impact is always there to help us thrive. Their commitment ensures that we can continue to offer the best experiences for everyone involved.
A special thank you to parents Amanda Everts, Kimberly Scallon, Jen Stahl, Jenna Jones, and staff members Cindy Plymesser and Scott Williams for their continued dedication and support. These active members play a crucial role in everything Cougar Impact does, from organizing meals to running concessions.

AGWSR will be dismissing at 12:30 today, Wednesday, March 19th. Shuttle buses will leave at 12:3, and route buses will leave at 12:55. There will be no evening activities. No Cougars Den PM Preschool.
Adan cashed in his paw points to be a teacher assistant in Mrs. Meyer's classroom. He was a great help giving us words to write and reading a story to us! Thanks for being a great assistant!
The AGWSR HS Computer Science class recently spent a full day at Hawkeye Comm. College to attend the Cyber LooCon 2025 Conference.
The focus of the day was on CyberSecurity and included a raucous game of digital "Capture the Flag"!
Mrs Culver's kindergarteners has enjoyed having some excellent teacher helpers come to our classroom!!
Jenna Rotgers performed her original poetry piece at State Individual Speech in Starmont this morning! She did an excellent job and received a Mixed II rating. Congratulations Jenna!! 🐾🎭
🥧It's pi day and 7th and 8th graders went ALL out! We used the digits of pi to play a card game, make a chain link, and paint a landscape. Of course there was plenty of pie to eat too! 🥧

We have made the difficult decision to cancel Family Fun Night for the 2025 school year. We sincerely appreciate those who have volunteered their time and continue to be involved. Your support makes a significant difference! Moving forward, we want to encourage more families to get engaged with Cougar Connection. We are excited for the future and look forward to bringing new events with great energy and enthusiasm this fall—stay tuned for more details!

State Academic Decathlon 2025! It is incredibly tough competition at state! Quinton had a great weekend and walked away with FIVE individual medals and was second place overall in the Small School Varsity GPA division.
The students have done 7 tests, 2 speeches (1 prepared and 1 impromptu) and an interview this weekend!
The topic for 2024- 2025 was Our Changing Climate. Tests are over Math, Art, Music, Literature, Science, Economics and Social Studies
Next year the topic is 🌟The Roaring Twenties

📢 AGWSR Quarter 3 Attendance Update – A Team Effort! 🎉
At AGWSR, our goal is to maintain better than 95% average daily attendance, and thanks to the intentional efforts of our parents, staff, and students, we’re making progress!
We appreciate the partnership and the commitment to showing up each day. Here’s how our Quarter 3 attendance compares to last year:
✅ District-Wide Growth: Attendance improved from 93.06% last year to 94.57% this year! Every day counts!
✅ Ackley Elementary: Attendance grew from 94.14% to 95.64%! Strong habits start young!
✅ Wellsburg Elementary: A fantastic increase from 95.27% to 97.46%! Keep it up!
✅ Middle School Success: Attendance rose from 93.27% to 95.18%! Way to go, students and staff!
✅ High School Improvement: More students are in class, with attendance increasing from 91.16% to 92.90%!
Thank you for making attendance a priority! Let’s keep the momentum going and finish the year strong!
