Due to the school calendar change that was communicated yesterday that said there would be no school on Monday December 22, the HS G/B basketball games versus DNH originally scheduled for 12/22 have been rescheduled to Saturday 12/20. The JV girls game will start at 2:00 PM, with JV boys to follow. The varsity girls game will start at approx 4:30, with the varsity boys to follow.
On 11/17 The HS choir participated in one of the NICL Choir Festivals. They joined the choirs from Oelwein Gladbrook Reinbeck & Hudson to spend time working & performing with Dr. Andrew Last from Luther College. It was a great day full of learning & some great singing.

Our first youth wrestling practice of the year will be tonight Monday, November 17th. Practices will run as they have in the past with Grades K-2 on Monday nights and Grades 3-8 on Monday and Tuesday nights. Please go to the link provided and complete the form to register your child/children if you haven't. Please complete 1 form per wrestler. If you are interested in helping with practices, you are welcome to stay when bringing your child.

Congratulations to Alexa and Jubilee on representing AGWSR so well at the NCIBA Middle School Honor Band in Algona on Saturday. These two worked so hard preparing for the day and the concert was truly fabulous!! Bravo ladies!!!!

⭐ Cheerleader of the Week: Ella! ⭐
This week we’re celebrating Ella. Part of a trio that will be performing with the Iowa Honor Squad at halftime at the state championship football games next Friday! Her energy, kindness, and consistency make our squad stronger every single day. She pushes herself to improve and lifts up everyone around her. Whether she’s encouraging teammates or bringing that steady positivity we all rely on, Ella leads by example in the best way.

The cast & crew of the fall play Anchors Aweigh are excited to perform their show Tonight and Sat. at 7pm. The students have been working hard the last couple months & we hope you will come see it all pay off. Tonight includes a dessert bar by the AGWSR Food Class. Tickets $7.

The Crew of the USS Flounder would like you to join them for an exciting cruise in AGWSR's fall play Anchors Aweigh. The show is Nov. 14-15 at 7pm in the HS Gym. Tickets are $7. We hope you will join us for our chaotic cruise.
Today at AGWSR Wellsburg Center, we took time as a school and community to honor the Veterans who have served our country with courage and commitment.
Our morning program included a flag raising by Doug Heikens and Scott Williams, the Pledge led by our fifth graders, and Taps played by Cody Benning and Greeley Everts. Students shared in meaningful ways, including flag essays from Alex Harms and Myles Wiarda, along with performances from our 7-8 grade chorus and band.
Thank you to all who attended and, most importantly, to all Veterans for your service. Your dedication continues to shape the opportunities our students have today. 🇺🇸
Kindergarten through fourth grade were hard at work to create a "Thank you!" to our veterans for today's service. They all decorated hands that made up the signs and flag. Happy Veterans Day! Thank you for your service!

The Crew is in a wild fight to save their ship, while the passengers are arriving for a singles cruise and include a a famous romance novelist, her secretary who is pinning for a long lost love, a prince posing as a gangster, a couple of tired grandmas, a domineering mother and her socially deprived sons, and a whole bunch of actual gangsters. Join us for tides of laughter as you get swept away with mistaken identities, lively chase scenes, and a wild attempt to save the ship.

Mrs. Abbas's 4th graders enjoyed a great day at Hilton cheering for the ISU women's basketball team and learning how to stay healthy!
