Kindergarten SAIL had a little edible fun learning about the phases of the moon!
Congrats to former AGWSR standout Adam Viet who will be joining the IHSAA Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2026! What a huge honor for an even better person! Adam will be inducted on Friday March 13th during the Class 1A finals at halftime of the game!

Join the High School Band and Choir as the present their annual Pop's Concert Monday March 2 at 7pm in the HS Gym. It will feature the music both groups are preparing for their upcoming music trip to Florida later this week. We hope you will join us.
Congratulations Claire and Hadley! These two ladies performed at Individual District speech at Forest City High School today! Each of them did a Poetry piece and both received a "I" rating so they will perform at state speech at Maquoketa High School in two weeks!

To wrap up FFA Week, we held a "Drive Your Tractor to School Day", and our students will drive a short parade route as they head home. Come check them out at 3:00 pm in Ackley!

On Thursday, the 3rd graders went to The Village here in town to do some singing valentines. They made and handed out valentines to the residents and sang 6 fun Valentines Day songs for them. We are always excited to serve our community.

Our 7th graders had an amazing day in Des Moines on Tuesday! First they saw National Geographic’s Life on the Move with Lucy Hawkes at the Civic Center, then toured the Iowa State Capitol. Great learning, lots of stairs, big views, and even bigger smiles.
1st grader, Anderson Graham, has completed the Calm Unit in Mrs. Meyer's classroom. He has learned how to calm down his thoughts, actions, body, and emotions. We are so proud of you, Anderson! Keep up the good work!
