Recognizing the increasing amount of time we spend on digital devices, the AGWSR Elementary is challenging students and educators to ask critical questions before engaging with digital tools. We want to be proactive by ensuring that technology is used appropriately and in moderation, encouraging thoughtful screen time throughout the day.
Is this activity intended for educational purposes or leisure?
Does this technology foster collaboration or creativity?
Can the task be accomplished more effectively without a device?
Does the use of a device hinder face-to-face conversations for that activity?
By reflecting on these questions, students can develop a more mindful relationship with technology. To support this, we are collecting “Distraction-Free Donations” to provide fun, hands-on alternatives to ipads during the school day.
Distraction-Free Donations:
Play-doh and plastic tools

Decks of cards
Card Games(UNO, Go fish, Crazy 8’s, Old Maid)
