Welcome to the Wellsburg Attendance Center! We are a PK-2 and 6-8 building with about 200 students.  AGWSR has a strong tradition of excellence and success, due in large part to parent and community involvement.  I have been amazed by the support the school receives during my years as a principal in the district.

W.A.C Highlights

  • Caring staff - The entire staff at AGWSR incorporates professionals that are working to put students first, and I find it a privilege to work with them each and everyday.

  • Teachers provide ongoing progress monitoring and support to students have a successful early childhood and middle school experience.  In the Middle School we have incorporated use of our WIN/BEST times to provide more academic support.

  • A focus of AGWSR is providing our students with the tools of tomorrow through our K-12 1:1 program. Each elementary student has access to an iPad in their classroom, while middle school students have Chromebooks for use at home and school.

  • Supporting students to be successful is another focal point in our building.  Our students have access to multiple personnel dedicated to emotional well-being including At-Risk Coordinator, District Counselor, and Student Success Coordinator.

  • The middle school uses the PBIS program (We are Respectful, We are Responsible, We are a TEAM). We use the program to help all our students become better today than they were yesterday.

  • Having both PK-2 and 6-8 in the same building provides numerous opportunities for collaboration between the older and younger students, developing leadership skills, and creating a sense of belonging for all students PK through 8.

These are just a few of the highlights of the Wellsburg Attendance Center, and we strive to improve each and every day.   It is a privilege and a pleasure to be a part of a community that works together to ensure the success of every child.  If I can be of any assistance to you or your child, please do not hesitate to contact me by telephone or email.
